About - After 3 years in Germany, Nartago returns to France to join the GFE catalogue but remains available worldwide. Ranked among the best sires of young horses for 2 years in a row in show jumping, his son Dgin du Pestel * Mili finished 2nd in the 7-year-old World Cup in Eventing in Le Lion d'Angers. With a very good fertility rate, he brings strength, flexibility, locomotion and scope.
Performance - Nartago’s career has been successful from the beginning.
In 2004 he was 3 year old Selle Français Champion in Saint Lô.
In 2006 and 2007 he was the winner of several international young horses’ classes with Penelope Leprevost.
In years 2009 to 2011 he ranked 2nd in the CSI3* 1,50m in Vimeiro, Portimao, 1st and 5th in Estoril, 4th GP CSI 2* in Toledo with his owner Felipe Malta da Costa. Plus, he ranked 5th at the Portuguese 1.55m Championships
Sire - Carthago was a great international performer with Jos Lansink, winner GP in La Baule, 11th at the Olympics Games in Atlanta, 20th in Sydney, 8th at the European Championship in Hickstead. About fifty of Carthago’s products are ranked in CSIO and Nations Cups, such as Mylord Carthago, Team World Vice-champion WEG in Lexington in 2010, Team European Vice-Champion in Madrid 2011 with Penelope Leprevost. Old Chap Tame, another son of Carthago, placed 2nd in the CSI5* in Shanghai. Cash 63 ranked 7th world performer in 2010.
Damline - Dam Sabatina des Près was a great international winner at 1.60m level with Roger Yves Bost.
Progeny - Nartago is sire to several winners of CSI competitions. Just to give a few examples of his successful offspring: Golden Wave OL successfully competed up to 1.60m with Louise Saywell (GBR). Another one is the gelding Keith Richards who succeeded in classes up to 1.60m with several different riders. Vodka Star for example placed 6th in the 1,60m class of Nörten-Hardenberg with M. Fernandez Saro in 2019.
