About - Bon Courage started his career in 2018 as a premium stallion in Verden. As a three-year-old, he won bronze at the Hanoverian Championships under the saddle of Jessica Lynn Thomas/SWE and then silver at the Bundeschampionat. In Warendorf, his trot, rideability and foundation were each rated 9.5, his canter and walk 9.0. He only had to admit defeat by the narrowest of margins. In 2020 Bon Courage won silver at the Hanoverian Championships. From 2021 onwards, his first placings in tests for young dressage horses were added.
Sire - Bon Coeur was awarded premium stallion in Verden 2014, and won his 30-day test in Schlieckau in a very strong field with total points of 9.1 for his gaits. During the 30-day test, he was rewarded with the maximum of 10.0 several times. Bon Coeur has been awarded 9.0 multiple times for rideability during qualifiers to the Bundeshampionat. He was also champion in Hannover 2016 and was, both as a 3-year and 4-year-old Reserve-Bundeschampion in Warendorf. He was awarded the Weltmeyer Prize 2017, from the Hanoverian Association for his magnificent year in the sport. In September 2018, Bon Coeur made his first start in Sweden. He had an impressive 93% in the 6-year-old test, with a 10 for future prospects. In January 2020 Bon Coeur made a start at international small tour with +71% in Wellington, Florida.
Damline - Bon Courage's dam sire is Vivaldi, who is currently ranked tenth in the WBFSH ranking of the world's best dressage sires. Vivaldi was internationally successful with Hans Peter Minderhoud, and has 19 licensed sons in Germany. Vivaldi was himself Reserve Champion of his stallion performance test with 9.0 for walk and canter as well as 8.5 for trot, and won the five-year-old Pavo-Cup in Holland, won three stallion competitions in 2008, and in 2009 won the final of the KWPN stallion series, receiving a 10 for his trot.
Progeny - Bon Courage has produced several licensed sons from his first crop, including the Oldenburg Champion Stallion and 1.25 million euro price topper as well as two other premium stallions in Hanover.
